Privacy policy

Reedline Studio (“we”, “us”) operates journritos.life and the studio at 18 Staunton Street, Central, Hong Kong. This notice explains how we handle personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (“PDPO”) and guidance from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD), Hong Kong.

Data we collect

When you contact us, book an intro call, or enrol in lessons, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred lesson times, instrument interest, and messages you send. If you become a student we may keep scheduling notes and basic billing references needed to deliver lessons.

Purpose of use

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, arrange trials and lessons, manage studio schedules, send practical service messages, and meet legal or accounting duties. We do not sell personal data. We do not use your information for unrelated direct marketing without your consent where required under the PDPO.

Data Protection Principles

We aim to honour the PDPO Data Protection Principles: collect data for a lawful purpose related to our functions; use data only for the stated or directly related purposes; take practicable steps to keep data accurate and not keep it longer than necessary; apply security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data; be open about our policies; and allow individuals to access and correct their personal data.

Retention and security

Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to complete the conversation or enrolment follow-up. Student records are retained while lessons continue and for a reasonable period afterward for scheduling history and legitimate business records, then deleted or anonymised where practicable. Access to contact forms and studio notes is limited to staff who need them.
